Optimize Interiors has a rich history. Chad operated his business under the Optimize Interiors name from 2017 to 2019, while Martin ran his business as Daheim Design from 2012 to 2019. In 2018, they joined forces, choosing to continue under the name Optimize Interiors. In 2020, Optimize Interiors Inc. was formally established. As part of their growth, they became a Häcker dealer for the Ottawa region in January 2020 and opened their Häcker showroom to the public in 2021. Optimize Interiors becoming a Premium Partner of Häcker Kitchen in 2022.

Chad - Lead Cabinet Maker & Design Specialist
Chad Simpson is an Ottawa-based cabinet maker and interior design professional with a strong foundation in custom woodworking and space planning. He graduated from the Cabinetmaking and Furniture Technician program at Algonquin College in 2006.
Chad brings a solutions-focused approach to every project, combining technical skill with thoughtful design. Known for his attention to detail and clear communication, he takes the time to review each aspect of a project and guide clients through the decision-making process. His goal is to deliver well-executed, functional spaces that reflect each client’s needs.
Martin – Senior Project Manager & Installation Expert
Martin Kistel is a trained cabinet maker and kitchen designer with over 20 years of international experience. Educated in Berlin, Germany, he completed his formal cabinetmaking training in 2000 and later graduated in kitchen planning and design in 2005.
After working across several countries and gaining broad hands-on experience, Martin relocated to Ottawa in 2012. He is known for his technical expertise, problem-solving approach, and meticulous attention to detail. For Martin, the most rewarding part of the process is seeing a well-designed project come together with precision and care.
Alex - Design Manager
Alex loves working with people and taking the time to understand every client’s individual needs. With a naturally outgoing and approachable style, he builds strong connections and ensures every client feels understood and valued. His people-first mindset makes the design process both collaborative and enjoyable. By combining creative vision with practical expertise, Alex delivers thoughtful, innovative spaces that enrich everyday life and leave a lasting impact.
