Optimize Interiors has a rich history. Chad operated his business under the Optimize Interiors name from 2017 to 2019, while Martin ran his business as Daheim Design from 2012 to 2019. In 2018, they joined forces, choosing to continue under the name Optimize Interiors. In 2020, Optimize Interiors Inc. was formally established. As part of their growth, they became a Häcker dealer for the Ottawa region in January 2020 and opened their Häcker showroom to the public in 2021. Optimize Interiors becoming a Premium Partner of Häcker Kitchen in 2022.

Chad - Lead Cabinet Maker & Design Specialist
Chad Simpson, proudly an Ottawa native, brings a deep passion for cabinet making and interior design to his craft. His journey in the industry was inspired by his grandfather, a skilled woodworker, whose furniture adorned their family home. Growing up surrounded by handcrafted pieces made by a family member instilled a sense of appreciation in Chad and a desire to create his own unique designs.
Chad's commitment to honing his skills led him to pursue formal education in the Cabinetmaking and Furniture Technician program at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, where he graduated in 2006. Equipped with a solid foundation, Chad embarked on a career dedicated to providing exceptional craftsmanship and personalized solutions to his clients.
Chad's passion for cabinet making and interior design shines through in every project he undertakes. He approaches each endeavor with a solutions-oriented mindset, striving to deliver the best possible results every time. Martin – Senior Project Manager & Installation Expert
Martin Kistel, a seasoned professional in the field of cabinet making and kitchen design, has a remarkable international background spanning over two decades. Born and raised in East Berlin during the time when Germany was divided into east and west, Martin's journey has taken him across seven countries on three continents.
From a young age, Martin's passion for woodworking was evident. Even as a seven-year-old, he found himself captivated by the smell of fresh cut wood in his neighbor's backyard. This early fascination propelled him to join a woodworking club in East Berlin during his teenage years, solidifying his desire to work with this versatile and natural material.
Martin's dedication to his craft led him to pursue formal training as a Cabinet Maker in Berlin, Germany, which he successfully completed in 2000. Building upon his skills, he further honed his expertise in the retail business by undertaking training in kitchen planning and design, graduating in 2005.
Following the completion of his formal training, Martin embarked on an adventure inspired by the German tradition known as "Wanderschaft." This tradition involves traveling to different countries to learn new techniques and broaden one's skills. Throughout his travels, Martin worked in diverse locations, absorbing knowledge, and experiences from around the world. It was during this time that he also dedicated himself to learning English.
Martin's global journey eventually led him to the sunny east coast of Australia, where he had the pleasure of meeting his Canadian wife. This serendipitous encounter led him to relocate to Ottawa in 2012, where he has since established himself as a respected professional in the local woodworking and kitchen design community.
For Martin, the true joy lies in witnessing a project come to life. He derives immense satisfaction from applying his problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail to every undertaking. With precision measured down to the half millimeter, Martin ensures that every aspect of his work is executed to perfection.
